Testing of Waterproofing Coatings (Roofing Felt and Bitumen-Polymer Materials)
Laboratory quality control of waterproofing for foundations, roofing, underground structures and engineering systems.

About the service
Waterproofing is one of the most critical protective layers in construction. Its quality determines the durability of the foundation, the preservation of structures, freedom from leaks and protection against corrosion.
Roofing felt and bitumen-polymer materials are widely used for roofing works and for waterproofing underground parts of buildings, tunnels, tanks and other structures exposed to moisture.
Deviations in the composition, structure or laying method of these materials lead to sheet tearing, loss of elasticity, cracking, water penetration, premature ageing and emergency situations.
Our laboratory carries out comprehensive testing of roll waterproofing materials and coatings already applied. We assess their physical and mechanical properties, resistance to water and temperature, bond quality and compliance with regulatory requirements.
The investigation results are issued as an official test report accepted by technical supervision and regulatory authorities.
Why it matters
Testing makes it possible to:
- 01determine the actual quality of the waterproofing material
- 02confirm that the properties meet GOST and design documentation requirements
- 03identify breaches of laying procedure or substrate preparation
- 04prevent leaks, reinforcement corrosion and structural failure
- 05monitor the quality of the supplier and contractor
- 06provide documented confirmation of work quality when accepting structures
Waterproofing control is mandatory in the construction of foundations, basements, roofs and engineering structures, as well as in the repair and reconstruction of facilities.
Testing stages
- 01
Receiving the request and clarifying requirements
We determine the material type, area of application and the scope of testing.
- 02
Sampling or surveying the coating on site
We cut out fragments, assess the condition of the substrate and record the service conditions.
- 03
Preparing materials for investigation
We label the specimens, clean them and bring them to standard condition.
- 04
Laboratory testing
We perform a series of tests for strength, elasticity, coating resistance and other parameters.
- 05
Analysing the results and assessing compliance
We compare the indicators with GOST, SP and design documentation requirements.
- 06
Issuing the test report
We provide an official document with conclusions and, where necessary, recommendations for improving or correcting the works.
Our advantages
- Accredited testing of waterproofing materials to GOST
- Control of roll, torch-applied and bitumen-polymer coatings
- Modern equipment and precise methods
- On-site survey of coatings already applied available
- Detailed recommendations for remedying identified defects
- Fast turnaround and official test reports for technical supervision
Who it is for
- Construction companies and general contractors
- Installers of roofing and waterproofing systems
- Developers and technical supervision
- Manufacturers and suppliers of bitumen-polymer materials
- Operating organisations, repair services and management companies
Testing waterproofing materials is a key tool for quality control of structures protected against moisture.
We provide accurate laboratory investigation, detect defects at an early stage and confirm that the coating meets the standards.
