Soil Testing
A full range of laboratory soil tests for design, construction and analysis of foundation bearing capacity.

About the service
Soil is the foundation of every construction project. Its characteristics determine the reliability of the foundation, the stability of the structure and the absence of deformation in service. Errors in assessing soil properties lead to subsidence, tilting, structural cracking and emergency situations.
Our laboratory carries out the full cycle of soil testing: from on-site sampling to analysis of physical and mechanical properties in accordance with GOST and design requirements. We examine natural, imported and compacted soils to determine their suitability for construction and their fitness for purpose.
The results are issued as official test reports accepted by designers, the technical client and supervisory authorities.
Methods and standards
The list is adjusted to the design and accreditation scope. If a method is missing, ask our engineer.
| Method | Standard | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Soil density and moisture | GOST 5180-2015 | Site + lab |
| Maximum dry density (Proctor) | GOST 22733-2016 | Laboratory |
| Plate load test | GOST 20276.1-2020 | On site |
| Soil classification | GOST 25100-2020 | Assessment |
Why it matters
Testing provides an objective understanding of the foundation's bearing capacity and helps predict soil behaviour under load. It helps avoid:
- 01subsidence and uneven foundation settlement
- 02cracks in walls and floor slabs
- 03structural skewing and frame deformation
- 04errors in selecting the foundation type
- 05material overconsumption at the design stage
Competent soil investigation is a mandatory part of engineering surveys and construction control.
Testing stages
- 01
Receiving the brief
We agree the scope of work, sampling points, applicable standards and site specifics.
- 02
Sampling at the construction site
Engineers sample the soil in accordance with GOST methodology, recording depth, conditions and features of occurrence.
- 03
Preparing specimens for testing
We dry, cut, classify the samples and bring them to the required condition.
- 04
Laboratory investigation
We determine the physical and mechanical properties of the soil (depending on the brief) using certified equipment.
- 05
Analysing the results and checking against standards
We compare the data with design requirements, classify the soils according to GOST and assess their degree of suitability.
- 06
Issuing test reports and conclusions
The client receives an official report with findings and recommendations on soil use or the need for additional measures.
Our advantages

Common questions
How often should compaction be checked?
What if compaction fails?
